Once
the client is loaded and connects to the server, you will be asked to enter a
nickname (nick) that will identify you while you are here in this room.
Your nickname or "nick" can be any name you want. You will
also be asked for your EMail address, which is optional, but which will allow
others in the room to contact you if they wish.
To
"speak" to the room, simply enter your words in the small window at
the bottom of the room screen, then hit your enter key on your keyboard.
After
you have entered the chat room, you will see a list on the right side panel of
visitors already there. If you want to talk privately with an
individual, simply double click on that persons name, and a new window will
open that only you and that person sees.
If
you want to "float" your chat room window, so that you can go
elsewhere on the Internet (like tour the rest of the work-at-home website,
---- or go to other websites), type in /float in the text window,
followed by your enter key on the keyboard. Your chat room window will
remain active as long as you do not close your browser. (TIP: want to
work on other projects? --- just minimize the browser ---
the chat room window will stay active)
